I have had a VERY busy last couple of days. Maybe its because I don't really go a lot of places. When you have to pack 5 bags for a baby just to go to a family members home, it gets tiring from the get-go. You're so busy planning on what kind of food you're going to bring for baby that you forget to plan for yourself.
I will totally admit that I had "Five Guy Burger" last night for dinner. This is one of my biggest challenges: Eating well while eating out. I try and plan telling myself that I will eat the healthiest thing on the menu and then boom, I see the thought of a bacon cheeseburger floating through my head and that's all I can think about until I eat one.
I know that I chose the Weight Watchers program because I like the point value system. I can still eat what I want as long as it is in my points. I'm pretty sure that I ate my points and then some.
I started the day off by meeting my Sister-in-law so she could take me up to my other Sister- in-law's so that we could go swimming. I ate my breakfast of eggs, strawberries and an everything bagel thin with a laughing cow cheese. It held me over until about 1. We had so much fun swimming and Hanna was funny in the water for the first time. She wasn't sure how she felt about it.
I am forcing myself to take more pictures of myself and I actually have one of me in a swimsuit, but I'm not ready to post it. I keep telling myself that they will be great before pictures. Someday I will be able to look back on them and say "never again".
Lunch was a small serving of tuna on bread with edamame and a serving (12) of Lay's stacker's. That didn't hold me over well enough because when "Five Guys" was brought up my mouth started salivating and I couldn't say no.
I was kind of proud of myself because I didn't eat all of my fries or hamburger. Sometimes you have to notice the little things.
Finally got home at around 9 and my mom's fridge went out (that was fun). Spent the rest of the night divvying out food to my Gramma's deep freeze and fridge. She got a repair guy out today and then we had to move everything back in.
Couldn't get my baby to sleep for 45 minutes (her bedtime at home is 7, so she was ornery as ever). Woke up the next morning at 7 to get ready to go to the Farmers Market in Salt Lake City. That was so much fun( I totally forgot to take pictures, boo). Had a VERY small quesadilla that was delish. It was made with a blue corn tortilla, cheese, black beans, guacamole, and raw onions. I gobbled that bad boy up. But I'm serious when I say it was SMALL.
I spent the rest of the day making baby food for my little one. Bottled baby food has been doing a number on her digestive track. She's just not use to eating it for every meal. Finally got her down to bed around 8:20, and then FINALLY got to sit down for dinner where I had barbecue pull chicken on a piece of Asiago Bread form Farmers Market, watermelon, and a superb strawberry salad with poppy seed dressing.
So now I am tired, and the holiday weekend is just starting.......
Q's
If you have kids, have you ever made homemade baby food?
My baby LOVES fresh baby food. She likes it WAY more than bottled!
DO you like fruit in your salad? What is your favorite dressing?
I love Ranch dressing, but trying not to have it and branch out. Poppy seed is a close second, and you can usually find a good low cal sub.
Ranch dressing is a fave, too! I won't give it up. Ever. I will - and do - eat some of the fat-free vinaigrettes like balsamic and raspberry. It's a nice change of pace in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI like some of the "fruit" salads that you can find now at Wendy's and Panera. The plus: Good stats!
